Dial (analog) hygrometers have been
a standard feature in the purchase of many new Humidors.
Unfortunately, many people are not informed of its necessary
calibration. A dial hygrometer must be calibrated a minimum
of every 6 months. To do this, simply wrap it up in a wet
cloth, for half an hour. The pointer should indicate 94 –96%
humidity. If this is not the case, readjust the hygrometer
on the back with a screwdriver.
